Hello, is anyone there??  I found this little frog trying to get a peek into my window.  He was on the second floor.

Last summer I had the opportunity to travel to Sri Lanka with the Griffin Girls Rugby team for about a month.  While there, I was invited to host three rugby clinics for the local children as we travelled the country.  The coach that arranged the trip told me to plan for about 50 children.  To my surprise, and the surprise of everyone else there, over 300 children showed up for a day of rugby with players from the U.S.  Out of the 300, I would say that less than 30 had cleats.  But, they did NOT slow them down one bit.  When I think about what children in this country complain about, I reflect on the enthusiasm, love, and respect ALL the Sri Lanka children had, it gives me…..HOPE!

I took this shot this morning when I stepped out of the house on my way to work.  I guess I was running late because the eagle was already on his job.  The morning sky offered a wonderful backdrop to his silhouette.

It always amazes me to see such color from a flower this time of year.  I saw this little one growing in a construction site and reminded me of a inkbot test.

I caught this little bird sitting on a powerline today.  I wonder if it is a migratory bird because of how it blended in against the winter sky.  Sooner or later I am going to have to buy a “bird book.”  Oh yeah, “There’s an app for that!”

In all we do, we should strive for EXCELLENCE!

No Makeup.  Mother Nature does not need makeup or anything artifical to make our world beautiful.  I saw this little flower on the edge of a freshly plowed field.  I don’t know if it is the only one that survived or spring from the ground after the plowing.  What I did notice is that this flower stood alone showing the world all its beauty.  The lesson?  Nature is beautiful, Nature is simple.  Beautifully Simple!

The lake today was active from all the wind.  An overcast sky that was mostly gray.  A boat, some waves, and a Sunday morning…..!  Sometimes life is just easy and that makes us appreciate all the times when it is not!

It rained all night last night, and got really cold fast.  So cold, that the water froze and gave the barren branches…..”Ice Gloves.”

I spent some time today watching the water splash from the well.  There is something about water, the way it moves, that is magical.  Water is the element that links all things together.  We often think about water is weak or soft, but then I think about how the Grand Canyon was created by the C0lorado River.  My thought, if we keep moving in a positive direction toward achieving our goals, no matter how slow, we can accomplish “grand” things in time.
